Back-end developer @Railsbank

Hireview team is searching for Senior back-end developer to join the Railsbank team in Vilnius. Railsbank is the world’s leading global open banking platform that gives customers “access to global financial services” with 5 lines of code.  

The Railsbank platform is an enabler for customers like fin-Techs, brands, and traditional financial services firms to launch any financial services use-case they can think of using Railsbank’s super simple set of APIs, financial operations capabilities, regulatory licenses and partner network.  Railsbank is a one-stop-shop for a “bank in a box”.


The role

We are expanding our Senior Software Development team in Vilnius, Lithuania. Our current technology platform is written in Clojure and uses Datomic on AWS. The ideal candidate would either have direct experience of these technologies or, we are very open to candidates who have a strong track record in back-end development with either Java or .Net environments. It's a great opportunity for the right person to learn Clojure and work on projects that are new and exciting.

Reporting into our Head of Development this position this role is focused on working on a number of integration projects that connect our partners (banks, payment processors, etc.) to the Railsbank platform as well as developing the core platform itself.

What we look for in your professional skills

You’re likely to be educated to degree level or equivalent, with excellent communication skills (across all media) and possess the ability to ‘get things done’ in a flexible dynamic organization without having to rely on line-authority over other team members. We are looking for: 

  • 3+ years of commercial coding/software development experience

  • TDD / Test Driven Development 

  • Automation and tooling 

  • Agile Mindset: delivering value in the smallest possible increments

  • Team player: helping others is your key skill

  • Getting things done: you take responsibility and accountability to get results delivered

  • Communication: you know how to translate complex technical situations into understandable language 

Team-oriented people with excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to talk easily to people at all levels suit the Railsbank environment.

Good organizational skills and the important ability to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment that is both fun, but serious as well (we are responsible for other people’s money and we take this and our regulatory responsibilities very seriously).

Role location and hours

Unless agreed otherwise this will be a full-time role and you will be based in Lithuania in our Vilnius office.
